How to Lose Weight Safely as a Diabetic

A good diet and exercise. First understand that how your body looks is essentially 80% diet, then 20% exercise! Crazy right? That's why eating good is so important.Keep in mind this is what I have been doing, it works for me, but maybe not for you.- I eat whenever I'm hungry and ONLY hungry(not bored), this usually ends up being every 2-3 hours, starting an hour after I wake up.- Aim to always have half your plate be veggies or fruits, then a quarter be protein and the last quarter be something like rice, potatoes, pasta etc.- Always eat on small plates. This tricks your brain into thinking theres more on your plate.- Try to drink 1 cup of water every hour, more is always good.- Try to drink a cup of water 10-15 mins before a meal.- When you're bored, don't eat, do a quick workout. I LOVE doing Cassie from Blogilates' challenges(they are workouts you do during a song, it's not hard sounding consider most song are only about 3 minutes, but oh my god, they are intense!)- Aim for daily walks, listen to music, walk and let your mind wonder. It honestly relives so much stress!- When I get bored I do my nails or makeup or hair, or reorganize my closet, bathroom etc. So I don't end up eating.- If you can, workout 30-60 mins 3-4 times a week. You can do multiple videos off youtube if you'd like.- For snacks stick to fruits and veggies, like maybe an apple or two or a carton of blueberries or strawberries and yogurt, a cup of diced cantaloup, Steamed veggies in a bowl, etc.- Eat like the weight you want to be. Don't go too low, stay above 1200 calories a day. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator

  • Losing weight isn't a quick fix. It takes time and consistency. I'd say if u eat clean and workout then u will lose weight. Try shooting for 2lbs lost each week. Nothing more
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat.http://fattlossfacctor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.
  • A breakfast of 2 eggs is 160 calories, 10 grams of fat and 12 grams of protein. Egg breakfast will help you stay full until lunch. Breakfasts high in carbs (such as pancakes, waffles or toast) just make you even hungrier. Therefore, protein breakfast (like eggs) is a much better choice for weight loss and for your diet.Boiled eggs are low in calories and fat, high in proteins and other nutrients, and easy to prepare, therefore making them a nutritious and convenient part of your diet if you are trying to lose weight.Eggs help to lose weight because of protein. Especially if you have to lose a lot of weight you need to change your diet drastically, which means you need to eat first of all a lot of protein. Eggs are one great and important deliverer of your protein need.
  • You can safely lose 3 or more pounds a week at home with a healthy diet and lots of exercise. How to Lose Weight FastIf you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you should lose about 1-2 pounds. If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and exercise more. For instance, if you take in 1,050 to 1,200 calories a day, and exercise for one hour per day, you could lose 3-5 pounds in the first week, or more if you weigh more than 250 pounds. It's very important not to cut calories any further that's dangerous. Limiting salt and starches may also mean losing more weight at first -- but that's mostly fluids, not fat. "When you reduce sodium and cut starches, you reduce fluids and fluid retention, which can result in up to 5 pounds of fluid loss when you get started. Diets for Fast Weight LossDansinger recommends eating a diet that minimizes starches, added sugars, and animal fat from meat and dairy foods. For rapid weight loss, he recommends focusing on fruits, veggies, egg whites, soy products, skinless poultry breasts, fish, shellfish, nonfat dairy foods, and 95% lean meat. Here are more tips: Eat vegetables to help you feel full. Drink plenty of water. Get tempting foods out of your home. Stay busy -- you don't want to eat just because you're bored. Eat only from a plate, while seated at a table. No grazing in front of the 'fridge. Don't skip meals. Keeping a food journal -- writing down everything you eat -- can also help you stay on track. "Even if you write it down on a napkin and end up throwing it away, the act of writing it down is about being accountable to yourself and is a very effective tool for weight loss.Besides jotting down what you ate, and when, you might also want to note how you were feeling right before you ate it. Were you angry, sad, or bored? We often focus so much on foods and calories, but our emotions are a huge part of our eating habits.
