No it isn't true. You should still trim your hair but not every month or two, only every 4-6 months. Some tips include:-Using little to no heat to reduce styling damage (Try to reduce heat as much as possible)-If you must use heat, use a heat protectant-Wash your hair every other day, or as long as you can go to preserve natural oils-Deep condition your hair to keep it healthy and smooth-When applying conditioner apply it 3-4 inches away from the root to prevent greasy hair-Drink plenty of water-Eat plenty of proteins or protein shakes-Take biotin for healthy hair and nails-Use Mane 'n' Tail-Avoid wear tight ponytails-Don't wear any tight hairstyles-Sleep on a silk pillowcase-Reduce how often you brush your hair to reduce hair fall-Reduce stress to have no hair loss-Eat a balanced diet-Get regular trims whenever you see split ends-Don't use a lot of styling products, they can clog your hair-When hair is wet always untangle with a comb to reduce hair loss-Massage your scalp to get blood flowing-Get a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair-Try not to blow-dry your hair, towel or air dry-Use cool water when washing your hair.-BE PATIENT! Your hair will eventually growGood luck growing out your hair!

  • Trimming it does NOT make it grow faster. It helps it keep it healthy while you are growing it out. But it does not make it grow faster. If you get it trimmed often it will make it grow slower because you are cutting off all your hard work. So let it grow out for about 4-5 months maybe longer trim about an inch off maybe a half inch. Every month it grows a half inch so be careful with planning your next trim.
  • Don't apply heat to your hair, and if you do use a heat protection. extra virgin olive oil" can help your hair grow faster, just rub it all over your scalp. You should comb you hair not brush it. Use cold water when washing your hair, and don't dye or bleach your hair. These things can help alot, but usually hair only grows 6inches in 1 year. 1 inch every 2 months. Good Luck though I hope these tips help. Just close your eyes and before you know it you'll have long beautiful hair in no time, or you can buy hair extensions. Good Luck again
  • dont use any heat on you hair that will keep it healthy and help it grow...also mane n tail shampoo and it has been helping my hair grow a ton...i hope i helped in some way =)
  • drink a lot of water , exercise , and eat vegetables i know it sounds horrible ( if you don't like those kinds of things ) lol but its worth it it definitely makes it a lot shinier and thicker (:
  • It's not true that ur hair grows faster if u trim it. --the most important thing for good hair is good health so eat healthy ( make sure you don't have any vitamin or any other kind of deficiency because that can hinder hair growth)-massage your head because it stimulates blood flow-use natural conditioners like olive oil or other oils because they prevent breakage, make hair soft and shiny -don't use too many styling products as they cause hair damage and split ends- vitamin A, E, B complex. C, iron, zinc and Folic acid are important for hair growth so look for foods that contain these -avoid stress-don't tie ur hair really tightly that causes ur hair to break-drink lots of water-when your done showering wash your hair with very cold water that causes all the hair minerals to get locked which cause them to shine- get a good night sleep(very important)If you use styling products then use little bit of apple cider vinegar( around 1/4 to 1/3) and fill the rest of the container that ur using with water. This helps balance the Ph level of your scalp.-Be patient because growing out your hair takes a while Good Luck-check out this website for more tipshttp://www.wikihow.com/Speed-up-Hair-Gro…
