Why am I continuously loosing weight when I don't mean to? What is going on with my body?

Hello everyone. I'm little upset & stressed over my recent weight loss. I am a 20 year old, 5'6 female who has always been slim, I can never break the 100 mark on the scale & my weight has always been at 97-99 lbs. I'm am naturally thin (high metabolism) overall & I do eat. However, over the last year, I have noticed that my weight has dropped immensely, even worse this past summer. Spring break of 2012, my weight dropped from 96 to 92 & when I went to get a updated for my shots for college, I was at 93.8 lbs. I have been stressing quite some time now (before the weight loss) due to some personal issues & the environment that I am in at the moment is not the best either. I am back home this semester due to financial reasons but I didn't want to come back because of what I mentioned above, its not the best environment. Before all of this, I did have a huge appetite for food & loved to eat, now I probably eat only 1 or 2 meals a day (its not really eating) before I get full & stop. That is unusual for me. Even now, my stomach growls and I have just eaten. I've never suffered from an eating disorder so I have no idea whats going on. My clothes do not even fit the way they used to & in my opinion. I look horrible. I'm trying to take some time off because I'm burnt out & exhausted emotionally, physically & mentally.*I was on the Depo provera shot for 2 years but did not gain any weight on it & it did NOT change my eating habits. If I go to the doctor, can he/she give me something to help with the weight loss? Can they help with whats going on?I would like real, real legitimate answers so please no rude comments. In 2011, I became really sick. I was constantly bleeding, vomiting body fluid (water) and other issues but I was never fully diagnosed with anything major. My doctor (in another state) said I exhibited the symptoms of Lupus but I didn't have the diseases necessarily. Even then, my weight went from 103? lbs to 94 in 2/3 weeks. Since then, I've been keeping a close tab on how I feel & trying not to push myself into overdrive, but its hard not to. I haven't gained that weight back at all. Thanks to all who responds!

How Does Counting Calories Help With Weight Loss?

Recommended Answer:

You should go to the doctor. I don't know what they can do, but them most likely be able to do something. You're probably not eating enough with only 1-2 meals a day. Try eating more smaller meals and not big ones. Good luck (:

  • Exercise makes your body less likely to store fat in your belly. What you are doing sounds great. Just make sure to strength train too. You don't need a gym for this. You can do push-ups, crunches, squats, bicycles, and many other body weight exercises. To lose belt fat, you need to avoid refined/added sugars. Try snacking on fruits and eating whole grains. For protein, beams are best because they don't have fat, just protein. For fat, eat healthy fats such as avocado. Don't worry about cutting out carbs or fat and don't cut your calories too much. What works is eating the right foods.

  • Cut out carbs (white bread and pasta) and replace them with whole grain and wheat. Detoxing your body is a great step because your body stores fat to block the toxins in your body. The treadmill is fine and add some jumping jax and do the bicycle workout. If you have energy in the morning, wake up early and do a little work out, it will boost your metabolism. I do 200 of the bicycle things. Then for breakfast, oatmeal (the real stove-cooked stuff) with honey and hot green tea. Also Im gonna try the honey and cinnamon diet but you have to buy Ceylon cinnamon because the stuff you buy in the supermarket is bad for your liver. How Does Losing Weight Affect Health?

Recommended Answer:

No, of course not. It's just being advertised a lot so more people are asking about it. But, it's no better than all the other countless fat loss scam products like hoodia, green tea, raspberry ketones, acai, and on and on and on. It's sold as a supplements and all US federal health agencies warn against using supplements without the recommendation of a health care professional because supplements are not approved by the FDA, are virtually unregulated, do not have the protections afforded foods and drugs, are not recommended by the US National Institute of Health, do not require any testing, are often contaminated, may not even be what the label says, usually contain cheap ingredients, are often over priced scams, have been known to be dangerous, and can have numerous adverse or unwanted side effects. Read my answer about supplements here --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmA35VDViBrL0y9rSkKcLknty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111001134224AANB0OVRead my answer about supplement scamming here --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aii1OzUVjBo7o550CXhmvVbty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111014151252AAak0J4You don't need a boost in losing weight. What you want is a crutch..something to make it easy. It's not and there are no crutches that work except those you can get from your doctor and maybe Alli. You don't need to exercise to lose fat and since when is house work not exercise? The key to fat loss is not exercise, it's diet.Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet. Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success. An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness.
