There really is no quick and easily solution when it comes to dieting. You need to find your body's happy medium. Enough healthy food, plus enough exercise. Typically you should eat no less than 800 calories, I would say at least 1200 if you are doing vigorous exercises. The best way to do it is not focus some much on the weight. When you decide to start being fit and exercising every day and gaining muscle you won't see a change in weight, but you will lose inches. A good motivation for me was fitting into certain clothes, I could really see the progress, even if I wasn't losing 10lbs in a day. Now you can get very lean by sticking to certain foods. You don't need to starve yourself to get the same results just as quickly. In my experience the best thing I did was cut out all processed foods. I stuck to everything that was natural. Fruits, veggies, nuts, etc. Greek yogurt while processed was one that I enjoyed, for the calcium, minimal fat, and high protein (also yogurt has probiotics). Grain cereals for breakfast, with a nonfat milk (I LOVED having grape nuts with almond milk). Drinking a lot of water is also a necessity. You'll need to drink at least 8 glasses a day, spacing it out throughout the day is better for your body. For exercise, I used to mix cardio with some strength training. Mainly Sit-ups, push-ups (though I'm a female and quite suck at them I made the attempt lol), some weight-lifting, + 1-4 miles biking/running. (a good 45 min cardio work-out is usually a great start). Yoga (20-30mins) + 20-30 mins running(jogging) is my favorite. ^.^ maybe add in a little dancing just for fun. Hahaha. The best thing about exercising and eating healthy is ALL THE ENERGY. You will want to be active even after tiring yourself out at the gym. It will improve your mood and disposition. I get lazy. Stop exercising for 2-3 days (school work, busy busy, sleepy sleepy) Lol. And I feel lethargic, less confident in my looks (even though the scale reads nothing different.) So IMO it really makes your life better this way. Starvation diets, cleanses, whatever your want to call them deprive your body of ESSENTIAL energy. Making your mood, and self feel less determined, less capable/energetic. Also having lemon water is a good diuretic. Get all the fiber you can, fruits should help too. You can eat and still cleanse your body of the unwanted crap that's been stored up in your system. (CUT OUT ALL JUNK FOOD-FAST FOOD-GREASY HIGH STARCHES) - even if you are under your calorie restriction, they have additives that are bad for your body. They will make you feel bloated and lethargic stick to organic the best you can. Good Luck :3

  • Do NOT starve yourself! I'm 14 and I ate really low calories and I stunted my growth, lost my period, and now have weaker bones. It's not worth it, don't make that same mistake! You can still lose a good amount of weight in a healthy way, around 1500 calories (a little more if you exercise). Cut the carbs down a little and fill up on vegetables instead, I promise you will see results!
