Is it bad to workout everyday?

Is it bad to workout everyday? I want to lose a lot of weight and I want to do it as quickly as possible, but still being safe. My work outs aren't very extreme so it's not as if I'm pushing myself to far everyday. Is it bad to go on the treadmill everyday for about 30 minutes if it's not at too fast of a pace? Also, is it bad that I only use a treadmill? That's all I have at home apart from weights and I don't have anything else to do. Is only using a treadmill slowing my weight loss? Thanks for the help! :)

Well, if you treadmill 30 mins a day, thats not bad at all! Thats actually good. Cuz if u think about it, treadmilling 30 mins is like running for 30 mins. Its safe. And if you want better results u shud hit the gym and do other weight losing exercises

  • tm is ok 5-6 days/wk. if any pain, refrain.wts everyother day, 3 days/wk.don't try to lose too fast; you'll lose bone , muscle n fluid.lose only exces bod fat.eat right.
  • Minister of truth is wrong//You won't lose muscle bone and fluid.. Though you lose water weight first.. But you can still have muscle by doing pushups, pullups, leg lifts etc. Umm do about 10-50 pushups a day 1-25 pullups a day and run about 1-3 miles a day or actually sprinting helps burn the fat.. your sprint volume should be 250-1000 yds
  • It's generally quite safe to do moderate-level aerobic exercise daily. You recover from this quickly and you don't need rest days. This is what you'd be using your treadmill for. First, let's explain aerobic exercise. Your goal is to get your heart rate in to the aerobic training zone:http://www.topendsports.com/fitness/heartrate-range.htmfor the duration of the workout. That should be a minimum of 20 minutes, and you should include a warm-up and a cool-down.That's just to start... As you get more fit, you can incorporate intervals which are short periods where you work much harder. So-called "high intensity" intervals are working at 90% of your maximum heart rate. You can profitably use your weights as well. Most aerobic exercises don't do much for your upper body, so using some resistance exercise is good not only for general fitness but bone health.... Especially important for women.

This will sound similar to what I said when I saw this question last time:Weight lifting has never stunted anyone's growth. Ever. Like, in all of history.Define "ok". By that, do you mean safe? Probably safe, if you make sure you always lift with proper form. Do you mean effective? Depends which you are after, muscle gaining, or weight loss. It doesn't look like a very good program for muscle gaining for a beginner. It is probably about as effective as any other program from that company for weight loss - success is defined by how well you stick to the program. The activities used in this program are not for beginners, they are typically performed by very experienced lifters who know their own bodies well, and are looking for very specific results - and even then, many advanced lifters never feel the need to use these types of lifts. As a beginner, you are better off with some sort of full body routine that focuses on compound lifts, starting light and continually adding weight. I recommend either Starting Strength or Stronglifts 5x5, you can find both with a quick internet search.
