How to Lose Weight Drinking Water

Initial Steps1Understand why you're doing this. Are you trying to lose weight to feel healthier? To make the softball team? To get into the wedding dress of your dreams or a bikini for summer? Understanding your motives for wanting to lose weight will give you a better chance at achieving your goals.2Get rid of unhealthy foods. Things that tempt you like sugary cereals will no longer tempt you if they're in the trash. If you live with roommates or relatives and simply discarding unhealthy food isn't an option, ask them to hide it or put it in a less tempting location.3Write out a plan. Whether it's an exercise plan or your meal plan for the week to avoid eating unhealthy foods, writing things out is a great way to commit yourself to achieving your weight loss goals.Food And Drink1Don't starve yourself. Always eat three meals a day and a couple of snacks in between. If you skip breakfast, it makes you put on weight because then your body then goes into starvation mode and actually stores fat!2Stock up on healthy foods. On your next trip to the grocery store, pick things like fruits, vegetables, chicken, turkey, fish and whole wheat bread. Low-fat dairy, like yogurt and milk, is another good option as well.3Order something healthy when eating out. For example, grilled chicken with a side of vegetables is a lot healthier than a burger and fries.4Drink more water. You should be drinking about eight glasses per day. In addition, choosing water over high calorie drinks like soda can save you several hundred calories per day. It will also help you digest your food better and keep you hydrated. The more water you drink, the less your body stores.5Chew slowly. When you're eating food, chew slowly and make sure all of your food is finely "mushed." Not only does this help your digestive system, but it makes you feel full. The reason for this is that if the food is un-chewed, it stays chunky through your digestion and builds up in the stomach area.6Eat slowly. If you actually eat slower, you feel fuller! This is because your brain takes up to 20 minutes to tell your body you ate. So if you try and eat slow, by the time you finish, the message is sent, and you're not eating unnecessary extra servings.7Cook food at home. If you're cooking your own food, you have total control over what you're putting into your body. You can find healthy recipes for any meal of the day on lots of different websites.Exercise1Set up a healthy exercise routine. You will want to set aside a certain amount of time to exercise like 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week.2Mix up your exercises. Find ways to make it fun. Pop into your roller blades, jump rope, do an exercise video or wake up early and take a jog. You could also take up sport lessons or a team sport.3Stick to your plan. If you take days off from your exercise routine, it will take that much longer to get back into shape and meet your weight loss goals. Make sure to find the time to exercise.Mental Outlook1Don't go by what the scale says. You will lose more weight some weeks than others. If you don't lose any weight one week, it does not mean you failed. Look at the overall process rather than a number on a scale. Do you feel healthier? Are you in better shape? Do your clothes feel looser? Stick to your plan and you will eventually achieve your desired results.2Do it with a friend. If you and a friend are losing weight together, it'll be easier. As a plus, you can talk to them about your experience and eat out at healthy places together.3Make a reward for meeting a mini-goal. The reward should not be pigging out at a diner or eating chocolate cake! Make it something like going shopping to get new clothes in your new, smaller size. That way, you are motivated to meet your goals.4Don't give up! If you didn't meet or exceed your goal, that's okay! You are working towards it. Some people meet their goals faster than others and it's perfectly normal.

  • Do you see the box near the top of the page? The one labelled 'Search for questions: '?Well type in 'lose weight'.You will find over 518,682 pre-existing questions.Try the misspellings 'loose weight' and there are another 119,033In all there are over 637,715 Health section questions requesting solutions to being or thinking you might be overweight. On average these each yield 6 answers, that is nearly 4 million answers.(Without searching for any other variations on the question!)I can usefully summarise these answers in 4 words:EAT LESS DO MORE. Are you desperate enough to try this???
  • Pretty simple in concept. Eat less, since you aren't going to burn any calories by walking (at least, not enough to make a difference). Now for you, your eating is tied in with your emotional state. In other words, it's a symptom of your depression. You need to hit the causes of your emotional swings or you will be chasing your tail forever. Exercise, adequate sleep, and diet are three potential non-pharmaceutical approaches to treating depression. Working with a counselor or meds can help. From the food perspective, you might want to start with something you can control - for example, if there is no junk food in the house, you'd have a hard time eating it. So stocking the home with low-calorie, healthy food can be a good first step. Toss all the junk. That in itself may be liberating. Or maybe this is too radical, you may start with one small step and then move on. For example, find the one food (or food group) that you feel is your biggest issue, and focus on eating less of that. Or maybe try an "eat more" strategy. You might try to eat more non-starchy vegetables during the course of the day.It is all about baby steps, small changes. You can't fix everything at once, and definitely not with depression - which tends to be more of a chronic issue than an acute one. Best wishes!

Is it possible to lose 20-25 pounds in a month?

I just realized that I don't like my body. I'm 16 and I'm 5'4 and 170 pounds :( I want to lose some weight. I'll keep trying after a month but I'm just seeing how much I could lose in about a month or 2 monthsI'm planning to drink only water, eat really healthy (no eating out. eating a good breakfast with fruits) and walking/jogging 2-3 miles everyday or at leat 6/7 days.

How to Lose Weight Without Eating Healthy

In order to lose that much in just a month, you'd have to go on a crazy diet. You can do that, but you will have every single second of that month .Furthermore, motivation is limited. Even implying that you would be able to keep that crazy died for as long as a month, after you're done, you'll just get back to your old habbits and gain weight again.I belive the best and only way to lose weight is to change your whole lifestyle (not just for 2 months). And for that you need to take it easily. It is a slow ,but safe way.P.S: start the change from tommorow, and keep thinking what you will loke like in half a year from now :)

  • You're just now realizing that you're 50 lbs overweight? Your ideal weight is about 120. Whatever size clothes you fit into weighing 120 that's your ideal size. When your pants get too tight, you don't buy larger clothes; you eat a grapefruit instead of a meal, instead of gaining and gaining. Now you have 50 to lose, but you can do it in just 5 mo. with this low-carb food/exercise plan:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, soda, chips, tobacco, alcohol and coffee. No oil except olive and mac nut. To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, unsweetened veggie and fruit juice. Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.
  • It is possible to loss 20-25 pounds a month if you don't eat anything, but I do not recommend it. Exercise daily, eat well every meal, and get enough sleep. You will loss weight gradually but you will be able to maintain your (lighter) weight and not gain it back later.
  • I don't know if that's possible. I doubt it. I have been working out hard for the last two weeks (6 days a week on Insanity) and have only lost around 9lbs. I eat healthily, keeping calories low, and the workouts are really tough. I really don't see how I could have lost any more than this. I haven't cheated at all. No fizzy drinks, no beer, fast food, sweets....nothing. I couldn't have tried harder than I have if I wanted to. I don't want to put you off though. I feel stronger that I ever have already, have lost a couple of inches round my stomach already and will keep pushing. If losing weight was so easy, these programmes wouldn't exist. Just work hard and you'll get there no problem. The other thing you have going for you is that you are only 16. I am 27, so it's bound to be harder for me. My body is more set in its ways and has been filled with junk for years. Your body will react very well to this sort of exercise. Your metabolism will be better, you'll gain muscle mass faster and you'll set yourself up for life. Go for it. You'll never look back. Good luck.
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.
