How to Lose Weight After 50

Recommended Answer:

To gain weight you need to combine protein foods with starchy carbohydrates as indicated below. Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. Peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches are good weight gaining combinations. The protein in the above combinations will help to gain extra muscles.

  • The only real way is to eat more. Example: To gain an extra pound a week you need to add 500 calories to your daily caloric requirements.Your nutrition might be off if you are not able to eat more. Try calculating your daily caloric requirements on the link below and compare it to how much you are eating now. I am not sure how to help you more without more details on your current diet/nutrition.

How you loose weight with hypothyroidism is to get proper treatment for your hypothyroidism. It isn't necessarily food that has caused weight and size increases, it is that cells/tissue are deficient in necessary thyroid hormone and iodine and are inflamed and swollen. You have to understand this. Here is the website where you can learn about thyroid: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com If you are not able to pay for a doctor, there should be free or low income clinics in your area that can help you. • Why not actually putting in the work and going to the gym to work out instead of doing that.
