Okay so i have a really important event coming up (it's in 12 days) and i desperately need to lose about 4-5 kgs.. I was wondering if i could literally eat a tiny fruit per day or just drink water all the time, would i lose the weight? Please don't tell me to work out or eat healthy because that shit doesn't work i've tried it a billion times. This is really important so please i want serious answers.

The maximum amount of fat that you can lose in a month is 3-4 kilogram, if you try loosing weight in 12 days then you will lose it from your muscles, you will look smaller and your skin will be hanging and jogging, try thinking long term and set yourself a serious goal, otherwise you gonna keep struggling till the rest of your life, also eating too little will cause a damage to your metabolism and will make you fatter in the future.Do yourself a favor and grow up.

  • It's all about calories in and calories out i.e. lowering your caloric intake will make you lose weight. This question comes up all the time, can I lose X amount of weight in X period of time, if I don't eat? Yes, yes you will. How dangerous could it be? Your whole body will be out of wack. If it's just fruit, you're going to be severely fatigued all the time, you will have barely any energy for anything. Not to mention muscle atrophy and dehydration.Take my advice and eat three meals a day, low cal, and you'll lose 2 kg's a week. Don't just eat one meal. Play it safe.
  • Okay listen, I've been there. Yes for some it'll help you lose weight. But you'll have severe hunger pains, headaches and whatever else. That's how anorexia starts. Even eating lots of fruit will help you lose weight, trust me. But if you stop eating then eat anything with fat your body will cling to it for dear life, and just make you gain weight.
  • To lose weight the answer is not to starve yourself, trust me it makes your very ill and makes you very, very bloated and this really isn't a good look!instead try make a healthy eating plan such as:breakfast: Bowl of bran flake with a tiny bit of sugar on top or 2 witabix and a fruit cut up of your choice and a cup of tea or glass of water.Morning snack: Boiled egg or oat cakes with cottage cheese on top or a small pot of tuna or a piece of fruit with a glass of waterLunch: Wholemeal wrap with chicken or ham and salad, or a pitta bread with salad and chicken or any meat you enjoy and a drinkAfternoon snack: Boiled egg or oat cakes with cottage cheese on top or a small pot of tuna or a piece of fruit with a glass of waterTea: Chicken or any meat, salad or a small jacket potato with sweet corn try to drink at least 7 glasses of water a day as this will help burn fat and try to exercise whenever you can even if its just walking and also try not to eat after 6:00pm and try to eat your meals at round about the same time everyday.Sounds silly but eating more portions but smaller ones helps you lose weight, by hardly eating nothing will cause your body to eat at its own fat and store fat, this is the cause of becoming bloatedhope this helps a little bit and good luck :)

I don't get how one is meant to burn more calories than they eat to lose weight?

So apparently to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eatIf I am eating 1200 calories a day that would mean I would have to burn at least 1200 calories too lose weight? Which means 80 minutes of running or around 400 minutes of walkingIs this not a tad unrealistic? Because then I read things like 30 minutes of cardio a day to lose weight, but according to other sources you need to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of "30 minutes cardio a day"?I am so confused!!!

How to Lose Weight With Shift Work

you got it half right... you do need to burn more than you eat to create a calorie deficit for weight loss, but all that doesnt happen through workouts. Your body naturally burns calories even when you are not moving. just to keep you breathing and your organ functioning you will burn about 1000-1200 cals a day, even if you dont move a muscle. This is called your BMR, its a baseline calulation of your bodies caloric needs before factoring in activity, and its based on your current weight/height. now to create a diet from this, you factor in your lifestyle activity as well. this is about 300-500 cals for low activity, 500-700cals for moderate, and up to a 1000 cals or more for high activity. Then anything you burn with additional workouts should also be factored in. SO... a 1200-1500 cal diets should give you enough calories to satisfy your bodies basic needs and create a calorie deficit for weight loss with a moderatly active life style. • Although I'm not sure, I think you'd be burning more than 1200 calories a day if you did 30 minutes of cardio because your body burns a lot of calories throughout the day. Even in your sleep!
