How long will it take to lose 20 lbs?

Hi all. Right now I am 200 lbs and 5' 10. Usually I am 180 lbs but I gained weight this summer. I have school in about a month. Would it be possible to lose the 20 lbs by then? How long would it take to lose it effectively and safely?Thanks!
